Please add me to your email list! The explanation on staging today, Sunday, August 22 was the best "man on the street" explanation I have ever heard. Buyers must first be emotionally connected and then they will check the "business" connections.

Thanks!!!

Great minds do think alike! The Mortgage Messenger today ALSO discusses how the April 1 date of implemenation for the new compensation of loan officers will cause a radical change in our industry!

When an automaker makes a defective car we do not go after the salesman who sold the car! Many of these new regulations come from the subprime collapse of 2008. Certainly some loan officers were doing things they shouldnt, but we were selling a product created by lenders and Wall Street. Loan Officers did NOT create the products that caused the collapse. I am not certain there is any other industry where the EMPLOYEE's compensation is regulated/defined by the Government.

Certainly some loan officers will survive this latest change, but our industry is certainly facing some serious fallout...

I think this is a great program for those who can qualify for it. A lot of people confuse this with FHA since it was formerly known as the Farmers Home Administration or FmHA. Here in central Indiana, there are folks trying to finance Indianapolis real estate with this type of loan. They should know that homes must meet HCFP thermal standards as well as any voluntary national model building code adopted by the state.

Austin seems like it could have a lot of potential for home flipping. Have you heard of any people that have been successful already? I want to try and get into it...

we are currently funding USDA loans, have been for 4 weeks. I did hear yesterday that the new bill is going to the presidents desk in next 3 weeks or so. However there no reason to wait since there is already Mortgage companies out there (like us) that are doing them.
